- The system time in a friend's A2000 changes unpredictably.
- For example, if you watch the analog clock, the hands will
- progress as they should for a minute or two, and then the
- minute hand will jump back 3 minutes. Also, after servicing
- his BBS, the program reported that he had been connected
- for 1000+ hours. At times, some programs give him a
- requester asking for Volume Timer.device to be inserted.

- He noticed the proble on Saturday, shortly after setting
- the battery backed clock ahead an hour for Daylight Savings
- Time. The battery backed clock appears to be keeping
- proper time, since the system time is OK when he first
- turns on or reboots the computer.

- Is this probably a bad CIA? Is there any other possible
- explanation? What do you suggest?
